BIOLIS reads results straight from your analyzers, over serial or network. Here are today's drivers, with their protocols and connection direction.

How it works

From analyzer to worklist, without guessing.

A short sample number from the analyzer is never turned into a lab number on its own. When in doubt, BIOLIS asks an analyst.

    Analyzer sends

    Results leave as HL7, ASTM, or serial text, over LAN or an RS-232 cable.

  2. 02

    Listener receives

    A BIOLIS listener on the server or a companion PC stores every raw message.

  3. 03

    Results mapped

    Analyzer test codes are matched exactly to BIOLIS codes, then rounded per test rule.

  4. 04

    Into the worklist

    Sample matches: result appears. No match: it waits for an analyst on Data Sync.

    The analyzer asks BIOLIS for the test list when a tube barcode is scanned. No order entry on the analyzer.
